An associative bar named 'Au Vignalet' was established in Tarasteix by municipal initiative to create a meeting place for residents. The project was developed by the Youth Animation Culture commission created in 2022 and composed of Joao Mendès, Alain Conte-Daban, and Christian Lagarde. Following a public presentation, approximately thirty residents volunteered to participate in the association's creation and management.
Au Vignalet established a collective product collection point for local farmers. Every Friday, residents can pre-order and collect local products including seasonal vegetables, cheese, eggs, artisanal syrups, poultry, and other local specialties. This initiative promotes short supply chains and local economy while providing farmers with additional sales opportunities.
